Mario Greco, Managing Director of Computergate and Phil Storey, CEO of XenData, were present at BroadcastAsia 2010 for the launch of these new turnkey solutions. Phil Storey indicated that, "This relationship allow us to offer our customers a complete turnkey solution and peace of mind in this region that a reputable service company is looking after our customers'. Computergate is very keen to expand its multi-vendor service in the region and to grow the vendors being supported from our newly-formed office in Singapore.

The digital video archives provide a standard file system interface for easy integration with MAC and Windows-based systems. After video files are transferred over the network to the archive, they are written to high-capacity LTO tape using the open standard POSIX tar format. This is important for long term archives because it means that video files can be restored for decades to come - even without using XenData software. When these standards based advantages are combined with the ability to deliver the high performance required for today's demanding video applications, these archive solutions provide a winning formula for the media and entertainment industry. As a result, XenData already has over 300 digital video archiving installations worldwide, ranging from local TV stations to major post production organisations and some of the largest global broadcasters.
