Professional Archival Storage
The G-Series libraries for IBM i5/OS have been certified by IBM for operation in i5/OS and open systems environments. They leverage the strengths of UDO technology and are designed for archival storage applications that require secure, long-term data retention. Typical applications include e-mail archiving, record management, and IBM Content Manager environments.
The libraries are available with storage capacities ranging from 1TB to over 38TB* through the combined product lines of IBM and Alliance Storage Technologies.

Native Support: The libraries are easy to integrate and appear as a standard storage device without the need for additional library management software. IBM also supports the libraries with the Tivoli Storage Manager Interface, which provides data and resource management for open systems requirements.
Data Authenticity with WORM technology: Rewritable and permanent WORM recording technologies are supported in a single library.
State of the Art Features: Maximum performance and uptime are achieved through advanced capabilities such as dual pickers, hot swappable drives, redundant power supplies, auto-calibration, and high duty cycles.
Optional Bar Code Scanner: Bar coding provides you with many benefits including out-of-library media management and faster media inventorying inside the library.
IT Optimization: Rarely used data can be removed from a library, freeing up capacity, yet remaining managed and accessible with the barcode scanner.
Unmatched Media Longevity: Tests show UDO media to have a life in excess of 50 years.
